Alliance change
January 7, 2005
Greetings:
I have been informed by President Bahr that effective March 31st, 2005 Don Treinen will be leaving the Alliance.
Don has a distinguished career with CWA spanning over 39 years in the labor movement. His skills and leadership have been the backbone in making the Alliance the success it has been for our members over these last 17 years. We will miss him and I know I speak on behalf of all the C&T locals when I say thanks Don for a job well done.
President Bahr has also chosen a replacement for Don. It is with mixed emotions that I announce that President Bahr has selected Mary Jo Sherman as Don's replacement as the Co-Director for the Alliance. Mary Jo was an integral part of the C&T office bringing a strong work ethic and integrity to the job. Her vast experience in bargaining will bring added value to the task of being the Co-Director. I know all the locals in the C&T bargaining unit, as well as the C&T staff, will miss Mary Jo. Please join with the C&T office in congratulating Mary Jo on her new assignment and wish her the best of luck.
In Unity,
Ralph V. Maly
