AT&T: Retiree Medical Benefit Coverage

January 28, 2008

To:  All AT&T (Legacy T) Locals

The C&T office has begun receiving calls from AT&T retirees who received a coverage cancellation letter from United Health Care this past week.  As a result, many retirees are concerned that they no longer have retiree health care benefits.

In 2008, the plan administrator for retirees changed from United Health Care to AETNA.

By now, retirees should have received their AETNA cards.  If Locals get calls from retirees who have not yet received their cards, please direct them to call or email Kim Wilburn, CWA National Healthcare Coordinator.  Her phone number is 614-501-2442, and her email is kwilburn@cwa-union.org.  Kim will need the retiree's name, last four digits of the SSN, and a contact phone number.

In Unity.
