Alcatel-Lucent: FLSA Overtime Adjustment for FY2007 LPP Awards

April 29, 2008

To:  All Alcatel-Lucent Local Presidents

On April 4, 2008 we posted a letter from Alcatel Lucent Employee Relations which said:

"I have just been informed that due to a processing issue, the FLSA Overtime Adjustment portion of the FY2007 awards did not process correctly. Therefore, the award amounts which are payable on April 4, 2008 do not include the full Overtime Adjustment for FY2007. The Payroll team is aware of the issue and is working to correct the problem."

We have been informed that the payments were incorrectly computed using 2008 overtime hours, rather than 2007 hours. Based on the overtime adjustment language on page 32 of the CBA, Alcatel-Lucent has provided us with a list which would require 554 people who were overpaid to pay back amounts ranging from $.04 to a high of $112. It would pay 1467 people who were underpaid amounts ranging from $.06 to a high of $94.58.

The C&T office is reviewing their figures to make sure they are correct, and we will contact the Locals once we have confirmed them
